It Is Getting Better

Virtual Worlds Grid has suffered one disaster after another this year, and is currently being rebuilt from salvaged database backups. Our world will be stronger and more stable after this, but until then, it will be a frustrating process to get through. Thanks to all of you for your help and understanding. However, since January 2014 we have made some upgrades and tweaks that have reduced our processor and RAM loads on our servers significantly.

In light of the many cruel hate crimes that have happened over the past decade, many of you may wish to hold vigils in the All faiths Center or the Memorial regions. Please feel free to do so. Contact me to set up times and locations so I can coordinate those and publicize the events as appropriate.

I am opening up the Virtual Worlds College Campus, in Virtual worlds Grid, to instructors, who wish to use them for free, in the hope that many who are losing their jobs can teach there, freelance, and make enough to get by.

The students would pay the instructors directly.

I will be happy to provide one of our many classrooms, or even give out free regions for this use.

I don't yet know of any way to get school credits for students taking their classes in such a system, but I am looking at some possibilities. If you have any ideas on how that could work, I would love to hear them.

If you know of instructors, students, or even schools who might be interested in taking advantage of this offer, please have them Email me at

Virtual Worlds Grid now supports VarRegions, and has 16 new regions that are 8192 x 8192 each.  So that is 16,384 region sized parcels that we have added. Add that to our current number of regular regions which was 1,170, and we now have 17,554 regions, and region equivalent parcels. That is big news (pun intended)
